Modern Cottage

this boot

This is the first pair of boots I’ve purchased in several years that weren’t specifically designed for snow or rain. It’s probably because I have developed very strict rules around comfort (that I didn’t always follow in my earlier years, but should have). Comfort always. Style always. It is very much possible to have both. Love these Sézane Axelle boots for the style – ideal height with slim shaft, good toe room, interesting heel shape – and of course the color, it’s the ideal off-white/creamy beige they are calling white lacquer. Plus there is the innate benefit that comes with patent leather – any rain or spills will slide right off (I think once you have kids in the mix this concern never really fades). Also available in this Honey Varnish color which I may or may not be eyeing.
