A few holiday items for your Modern Cottage! Love, love decorating for Christmas. We keep our decoration ‘inventory’ very light – only things we truly love year after year – and we resist buying anything new unless it is really speaking to us. On that note, this simple pom garland stole my heart. This one flew out of stock but you can find a similar version on Etsy (the color beige looks really nice). Picturing this garland strewn from the kitchen backsplash ledge we’re planning in our mountain build, or simply laid across a sideboard or dresser.

Last year I used some very interesting stocking holder “hooks” I discovered on Etsy – and I was super impressed. The design relies on gravity, not so much just weight like the traditional ones. So, I was pleased to recently discover a similar hook, but in white painted steel (heart, heart).
And last up – because I’m a sucker for grid pattern – this cool tissue paper for holiday (or any) gift giving. Pairs perfectly with any standard brown paper gift bag. If you’re feeling really ambitious, you can tack on a little greenery to give it a wintertime vibe.
