Our Heritage project assembled a variety of beloved historic details: transoms, utility faucets, rift oak, and peg rails to name a few. Collectively these simple elements made a brand-new home feel quite like it may have actually been there for a hundred years – which of course was a massively rewarding to B and me, who often still fondly recall our first home, a 1927 bungalow, and so highly value the sturdy methods and sweet details used in homes of that era.

Who doesn’t love a wall-mount sink? I adore these in powder bathrooms (where really you can get away with minimal storage). We’ve used reproduction sinks, as shown below, as well as salvage sinks (seen in our Americana powder bathroom).
